How much can ONE person honestly handle? I know they say God never gives you more than you can handle, he must think I am one strong mama that can handle the world on her shoulders.
This week is crazy busy.
Sunday afternoon- Braxton comes down with the stomach flu. Normally it would be a HUGE deal but see Makenzi is scheduled for surgery this week and we MUST keep her healthy. My hands are so raw and sore from washing my hands every 5 minutes yesterday and all night long as the boy was sick.
Monday- Braxton is home and recovering. Still had a headache this morning but is eating and drinking and playing!!
Tuesday- Doctor appt for Arianna to have her tubes/ear infections checked. Preschool run, Braxton has his last religion class and Makenzi has her first grade play.
Wednesday- I have to register for my fall college classes.
Thursday- Makenzi has to be at the hospital at 830am. Her surgery is scheduled for 945am. Makenzi is a very anxious and nervous child. This is going to be a very nerve wracking day for her. After the procedure we will spend at least 4 hours in the hospital in recovery.
Friday- we will be at home recovering hopeful as easy as it can possibly be.
PLEASE pray or send positive thoughts that Makenzi and myself stay healthy this week. That the surgery goes smooth with no complications and that recovery is as quick and smooth as possible. I really appreciate it.

Well Valentines day is long gone but I am just getting to this post.
Braxton was so excited about his party this year. He wrote out all of his Valentine cards for his classmates and teachers. He did so well at it. Finally the day of the party arrived and he was so ready. Arianna got to tag along to his party and did she enjoy it.

My little boy
Isn't so little anymore. Braxton turns 5 years old tomorrow. I don't know where the time has gone.
5 years ago today Scott and I were packing our hospital bags, making sure the car seat was in the car and ready to go for the trip home. See I was only 37 weeks along and figured we had a few more weeks to get ready. We spent the night watching movies and playing video games after we tucked Makenzi into bed. The next morning we were off to the hospital.
The next morning we dropped Makenzi off at my mom and dad's house and we were off to the hospital. Things went faster than I expected them too. I figured he wouldn't be born until the 16th since my labor with Makenzi was so long. Well 14 hours after starting the induction I was a mom to a healthy little boy.
Braxton Charles Adam joined our family at 11:38pm on Wednesday February 15th, 2006. He weighed in at 6lbs 8oz and 19.5 inches.
Not long after he was born!
Our little guy is 1 years old!
2 years old and loving on his baby sister!
3 years old at Easter!
4 years old and can swim by himself!
5 years old and getting very big!!
Braxton you are a very special guy who is going to do awesome things in life! We love watching you grow and change, you keep us on our toes!

Daddy Daughter Dance
Makenzi and Scott went to a daddy daughter dance at Kenzi's school. It was her first year going and she was so excited. They had a nice dinner provided, lots of dancing time, and pictures taken.
Here are some that Scott took at the dance:
All the kids had to get in the picture!
Kenzi and her daddy!

Hello 2011
The New Year is here and I am anxious to see what it brings to us!
Friday night (NYE) we had friends over and celebrated my husband's 29th birthday! I made him an awesome dinner of BBQ ribs, stuffing, salad, and baked beans...his favorite meal! We had cake and ice cream and then we put the kids to bed at normal bed time. We had a lot of good conversation and then played the Wii...I had just bought Just Dance so we had to try it out. We had lots of fun!
New Years Day, we headed to my parent's house where my husband and dad took off to go hunting! The kids and I hung out with my mom. It was a nice relaxing day!
Our hopes for 2011:
~ To have health in our family which means no ER Visits, No Ambulances, No hospital admittances, No emergency doctor visits.
~ To have peace and relaxation
~ To have a good financial year
~ To enjoy watching our children grow and see their personalities continue to grow.
~ To spend time with my husband.
~ To take a several mini vacations, making lots of memories with our children.
Then seeing what else comes our way. I wish everybody a year filled with health and happiness!

2010 what a year
Well 2010 has not been our year at all. We had a very rough start to our year then it evened out for a while only to give us 1 more big blow at the end of the year.
January : Always seems to be a month of illness for us. Between three kids we had strep with scarlet fever, bronchitis (x2 kids), ear infections (2 for 1 child), and pneumonia. We did celebrate our 7 year anniversary and got to spend a weekend as a family at Splash Universe in Dundee.
February: We went through Ear tube surgery with Arianna, ambulance ride with Arianna that was struggling with breathing. Spent the last week of February at doctors offices.
March: Was a pretty good month.
April: My niece had surgery to fix her heart on April 1, Braxton fell and broke his collar bone on April 1. We were able to spend Easter as a big family!
May: My baby girl turned 2. We opened up the cabin!! Makenzi started her 2nd season of t-ball.
June: Arianna had her big fall. I spent a weekend in Chicago for a bachelorette party. My best friend got married.
July: We spent a week camping at the cabin for our vacation! We had the kids big triple birthday bash that we do every summer.
August: We just relaxed and enjoyed the rest of our summer. Started getting the kids ready for the school year.
September: Makenzi started first grade. She got a wonderful teacher! Braxton started preschool and also got a wonderful teacher! I celebrated my birthday! We also got to celebrate the 2nd birthday of a very special little girl!!
October: We had an awesome time trick or treating! Scott was able to be home with us and we had a couple extra kids along for the fun!
November: I got to spend a girls day with my mom, and two sister in laws. We spent the day shopping and just having fun! Thanksgiving was a wonderful time. Spent time with family.
December: Is always an exciting time of year at our house. We have a nephews birthday, a niece's birthday, Makenzi's birthday, and Scott's birthday. We had our big family Christmas party on Saturday which was fun. We discovered that Arianna wasn't very fond of Santa until he gave her a candy cane and a present. 12/11/10 we got news that no family every wants. Our 2 year old niece has been diagnosed with leukemia. Please pray with us for to have no side effects from any of the drugs and that she responds quickly to chemo.
WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO 2011 AND PRAYING THAT IT IS A MUCH BETTER YEAR FOR OUR FAMILY! WE WISH EVERYBODY A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Welcome December...
December is here already and it doesn't feel like it should be.
My husband calls me a scrooge. I love the reason of Christmas I just hate all the "stuff" that comes with Christmas. I even enjoy getting together with family and having parties...it is just the shopping, the tree, the baking, the school parties, etc etc etc.
Scott and the kids put the Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving...while they did that I locked myself in the bedroom and wrapped a few family presents. Now that the tree is up it looks great and I don't mind it as much.
I thought I had my shopping done until I remembered a few people to buy for, and realized a certain person in the family was going to be shorted unless I did some more shopping for her. I hate shopping after November because the crowds are horrible and people are rude.
I put a few outdoor decorations up and that is all that will go up. We already start with Christmas parties next weekend, then we have birthday parties as well! December is always a busy month for us but we have a lot of fun too!
