Makenzi
Lost her first tooth tonight! Her tooth has been lose for about 6 weeks to my knowledge and it just didn't seem to be getting lose enough to come out. Kenzi wasn't big on wiggling it though and trying to get it out. I tried to remember every other day or so to check it and wiggle it some to help it along. Finally tonight she should it to me and it was laying down instead of standing up like normal. I wiggled it around some and popped it right out. Hopefully the tooth fairy remembers tonight...I would hate for it to be forgotten.

Kittens
Well we have 2 kittens. The kids got them for Christmas presents from Scott and me. They are 2 little boys. Diesel and Rig are the names. Diesel is all black and Rig is a tiger striped cat. Braxton loves these kittens. He is actually the reason we got them. He cried all the way home from Petsmart one day because we didn't buy him a kitten. The kittens are very playful yet very good with the kids. Braxton goes around telling Diesel and Rig that he loves them all the time, worries about them when he is gone etc. He is in love. But there is bad news unfortunately. We are 95% sure that Makenzi is allergic to them. Within 24 hours of the kittens coming into the house Makenzi started in with a dry annoying cough. Doesn't get better or worse over time. Unfortunately it sounds just like Allergies. I plan to call the doctor and see about allergy testing since they already feel she has other allergies. Only time will tell. I know that we will break my son's little heart though if the kittens have to find a new home, which will break our hearts. Makenzi likes the kittens as well but definitely not as much as her brother. Arianna isn't so fond of them especially when the run past her or try to play with her.

The kids Baptism
January 2, 2010 was a big day in our house. We had all three children baptized at St. Michaels Catholic Church of Maple Grove. It took many years of talking and praying about it for it to happen. Scott had to take his time in his decision which was fine with me. We have been attending St. Michaels off and on for the last 4 years or so. We were also trying other churches at the same time. I was raised in St. Michaels and kept coming back. This year I decided it was time to get the gets more involved so I signed Makenzi up for the Vacation Bible School, and then both Makenzi and Braxton up for the Atrium (Cathecesis) classes. This was a turning point for both kids. They both became extremely interested in the church and faith. At this point Scott was convinced it was right. I called Father TJ and set the meeting up and got the day scheduled. We had also decided that their baptism would take place after mass because the kids are much older and we didn't know how they would react.
Saturday went very well. We took the kids to 5 o'clock mass. We made them wear regular clothes though because wearing all white was scary to me...they would have ruined it somehow I am sure. The kids were excited and had a hard time making it through mass. We survived though.
The baptism went very well. Father TJ did great with the kids...even though they were running away and playing. It was rough. When we tried to hold onto them they would scream and cry so he just let them run. One of the bonuses of doing the baptism after mass.
Some funny moments: Ahna doesn't like water on her head so she grumbled and scolded all the way through it, then when she was done she gave Father the most awful look...he laughed and said he was glad looks don't kill! Father TJ informed my brother (one of the Godparents) that all Godparents now have to pay for college education...he sent my brother into a panic when he started adding up all the kids he would have to pay college for.
After the baptism we went to the little local restaurant and had dinner. The food was awesome and the company was wonderful! We had a very nice time and are thankful for everybody who joined us.
Here are our pictures!

The baptismal candles caused major trouble. Makenzi got to hold her own, Ahna and Braxton both wanted to hold their own as well. Braxton ended up holding his with help, I ended up trapping Ahna so she couldn't grab the candle and one of the Godfathers held the extra candle so we didn't have any issues. Lots of screaming and crying took place at this time.

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010
2009 has been quite the year for us. Overall it has been a great one.
Our Highlights:
Arianna Mary had her big 1st Birthday!
Scott got a promotion at Werner.
Makenzi started Kindergarten!
Braxton started Preschool!
I started college classes again.
We spent a week camping at the Cabin this summer..that was a lot of fun.
We got a new van..that was very exciting for me.
Our Rough times (Much less than our good times)
Made several trips to Ann Arbor (U-M Hospital) with Braxton.
We had about 6 weeks of nonstop sickness this fall.
2010 is starting off to be a great year! Makenzi Anne, Braxton Charles Adam, and Arianna Mary were all baptized this weekend at St. Michaels of Maple Grove....I will go into further detail and post pictures in another post. We also have a weekend getaway planned in just a couple weeks. We are heading to Splash Universe in Dundee. I can't wait to take the kids and have some fun. We also plan to go to Cabelas then too.
Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010. I hope that 2010 can be as great or even better than 2009. I hope all of you have a wonderful year full of happiness and health!

Busy 2 weeks coming
Christmas is coming and with Christmas comes a busy time. It started Last Thursday for us and won't end until January. Last Thursday was Makenzi's 6th Birthday. I have pictures to add...I am only a week late. I am not sure how the last 6 years have gone so fast but they have. Thursday morning I took cupcakes into her classroom for her to share with her friends. The cupcakes were a huge hit. I then ran to pick the boy and his cousins up from school, quickly dropped them at grandparents houses and then ran back to Kenzi's school for her Christmas party. I need to upload those pics too.
Friday we headed to my inlaws so we could celebrate Makenzi's birthday with them. They got her a cute outfit and a stationary set. She loved both.
Saturday we went and bought our new washing machine since ours died. Then we had friends over. They brought the kids Christmas presents over which was really nice of them to do. They got Makenzi and Braxton an Uno Moo game which they totally love. They got Ahna a nice warm pair of pajamas which she desperately needed. Thank you! Then they helped us work on a Christmas project...which was great otherwise it might not be ready for Christmas.
Sunday I spent the afternoon at Urgent Care with Kenzi. That was a bad trip that got us no where.
Monday I spent the morning at the doctors with Makenzi which didn't get me much farther. Strep test ran, urine sample done...waiting on results.
Today I spent the morning with Braxton at his Christmas party (thank you mom for watching sickie Makenzi). His party was great! I then had a meeting in Saginaw at 2. I got a call from the peds office saying Makenzi's 24 hour strep culture was negative we will see what the urine and 48 hour strep say tomorrow.
Tomorrow I have to go pick up one last present! The kids will be excited.
Christmas Eve and Christmas day are always busy.
Saturday and Sunday will settle down. Monday we are going to meet friends and let the kids play.
Next weekend is busy as well. Thursday is my husband's 28th birthday! Friday we have invited friends and his family out for a game night.
Saturday our children will be getting Baptized at St. Michael's here in Maple Grove. We are doing the ceremony after mass and just keeping it small. We are very excited. The oldest two children are extremely involved in St. Michaels. They are in the Atrium classes (a class that teaches the children all about the things that happen in the church, all about Jesus and lots of other stuff). They are both going to Vacation Bible School in the summer (Kenzi went this past summer and B gets to go this year).
After that I think things slow down until I start classes again on January 11th.
I will have to add photos later..ran out of time.

Christmas 2009
We had our first Christmas party last night. It was my mom's year to put it on. This party is the easiest on of the two parties that we do a year. We went into the gym yesterday morning and set up at 10 and were out by 11am. Everybody headed home to eat lunch and get the kids naps. Thankfully Braxton and Ahna both napped well. Makenzi didn't nap and it definitely showed late last night. We didn't make it home until 1130 and the kids were exhausted and so were we. Nobody moved until 930 this morning. I have lots of photos to add from last night.
